THE NATIONAL LOTTERY HERITAGE FUND
The National Lottery Heritage Fund, formerly the Heritage Lottery Fund, distributes a share of National Lottery funds. Supporting a wide range of heritage projects across the United Kingdom.
Since 1994, NHLF has supported just over 43,000 projects.
NHLF have support Milford Haven Museum and are helping us to grow and become a sustainable museum for the future.
UK MUSEUM ACCREDITATION SCHEME
The Museum Accreditation scheme is managed as a UK Partnership between Arts Council England, The Welsh Government, Museums Galleries Scotland and Northern Ireland Museums Council.
It helps everyone involved with a museum to do the right thing, helping people to access and engage with collections, and protect them for future generations.
It awards an accreditation to high standard museum. Milford Haven Museum has achieved this standard for several years now.
THE PORT OF MILFORD HAVEN
The Port of Milford Haven is a leading UK shipping gateway handling liquid, bulk, break bulk and heavy lift cargoes. It is known as the UK’s largest energy port and is capable of delivering 30% of the UK gas demand.
THE PORT OF MILFORD HAVEN COMMUNITY FUND
The Support Programme provides financial support to charities, voluntary organisations, community groups and social enterprises that are working within Pembrokeshire.
They have over many years, supported the museum both financially and with the help from their fully qualified staff.
MILFORD HAVEN TOWN COUNCIL
Milford Haven Town Council has existed in one guise or another since 1894. The Urban District Council ruled supreme from 1894 to 1974 when it became the council it is today. It has 18 councillors covering six wards.
The Council have backed Milford Haven Museum from the day it opened. They generously support financially every year and have members on the Board of Trustees.
SOUTH HOOK LNG TEMINAL COMPANY LTD
South Hook LNG Terminal is a Liquid Nitrogen Gas terminal near Milford Haven and is the largest LNG terminal in Europe. It handles up to 25% of the UK’s gas requirements.
South Hook LNG have supported the museum for many years and has worked in partnership on projects such as school art competitions, school calendar designing competitions and other funding projects.
PEMBROKESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL.
Pembrokeshire County Council is the governing body for Pembrokeshire, one of the Principal Areas of Wales. It was first established in 1889.
The Council supports the museum with a Contact Agreement providing governance and financial help
